Katie's Kindergarten is a 79 place centre where our children are split up into four different rooms based on their ages.

 

Our program caters to the specific needs of individual children and is also contains progressive, adapting practices from different approaches, including the Early Years Learning Framework. We as staff view children as strong and capable learners, who learn not in isolation but in collaboration with each other and has an emphasis on an aesthetic environment, with the focus on making the children’s areas inviting and stimulating.

 

We strive to provide an aesthetically pleasing, inviting and "home like" environment that fosters creativity, exploration and imagination. We strongly believe that as educators it is important to guide and support children’s knowledge and interests, allowing them to learn and develop their individuality. Families are instrumental in the philosophy and the exchange of information about children between parents and the centre is very important.

 

Within our centre we have four rooms providing age appropriate care and education for our children.  These are:Butterflies– 0-2 years oldDragonflies– 2-3 years oldLadybugs– 3-4 years old
